Youtube desperate for money?

Interesting article over at TechCrunch talking about how Youtube has begun selling video search results to the highest bidder.  I’ve mentioned in class several times how I think that Google and it child companies are beginning to feel a little bit of pressure to seek alternate means of making money, because in my opinion ads are not as valuable as they once were.  This seems to be a clever and new means of making money using advertising, however at the same time I feel as though Youtube has sort of sold out.

Now everytime you search on Youtube, you’ll have to guess whether the video is really relevent to your search or if it is just paying to be there  Most times it should be clear, but now money could buy you popularity – atleast on Youtube.
